questions i get asked often enough that i thought it might be easier to compile them here. if there's a burning question you have that isn't answered here, feel free to shoot me an e-mail at wackywizardtower at gmail.com.

Q - why did you change the name and theming from webheaven to webforest?

A - the short answer is that i got older and my tastes changed. the slightly longer answer is that webheaven was based solely on things i enjoyed as a kid. it was fun for a while, but it became tiresome and boring to work on. the self i was putting forward wasn't a genuine reflection of who i am as a person now. i'm not very energetic and i like green things - i wanted the updated site to reflect who i am right now. maybe a few years down the line it'll change again.

still, i'm sorry for all the broken links. i don't imagine it'll change again until i start paying for a real domain.
Q - are your site assets free to use?

A - a lot of the assets are my own art, personally drawn by myself for this website, so please don't use those for your own website. if it's got a weird anime-western-mashup style and textured linework, it's probably my handiwork. unless specifically specified otherwise, please don't go taking these for yourself.

that being said, there are a lot of assets on this site that i didn't make, and so i have no qualms about you using those. these are usually taken from video games, movies, free stock photo sites, or free pixel graphic sites. if you're unsure, or want a more specific answer, you're always welcome to reach out and ask.

tl;dr - please don't use the assets i made unless otherwise specified - but i use free graphics, too, so feel free to use those.
Q - will webforest ever be mobile friendly?

A - nope. webforest is in large part a mindfulness and creativity exercise to keep me off my phone. i'm also of the mindset that the internet is more fun when it's like a place you visit rather than being a thing you compulsively check, and so, webforest is in line with this thought.

i'm also no good at programming and wouldn't know where to start.
Q - can we be affiliates?

A - hard maybe. i try to keep the affiliates list for people i know and can vouch for as far as quality and/or good character goes. if we've at least spoken before, you are welcome to shoot me an email, or a private message wherever we're friends.
Q - can we be friends?

A - also a hard maybe. i'm not very sociable, but you are welcome to say hello and strike up a conversation if you're interested in me as a person. if we have anything in common, who knows what might come out of that?
Q - do you take art commissions?

A - unfortunately, i almost never open up commissions to the public these days, i don't have a lot of energy or time thanks to college. that being said, if you're dead-set on commissioning me, you are always welcome to ask via e-mail - just be aware you will likely be turned down.
Q - who are the characters and critters on your site?

A - the site mascots are just my own characters! they should all have (planned) profiles on the characters page.

the freaks in this page's header specifically are juno and ryker. :-)
Q - what do you use to make your art?

A - all of my 2D digital illustration and comic work is done with paint tool SAI 2 on a fujitsu lifebook.

less commonly, i do 3D work in autodesk maya, and i do printmaking with ink and a silkscreen.
Q - what's your real name/gender/sex/orientation/neurotype/shoe size?

A - what are you, a cop? anyways i'm a US men's 8/women's 10
