one of the last monthly illustrations i did before admitting to myself that i was a bit too ill to keep up with the tradition. ^_^; but i really do love this one! i wanted to go for a sort of "pulp magazine cover" feel with it, and though it's not necessarily super authentic or accurate to the time, i think the palette and rendering gave it a fun feel.
