tifa, like any other tav, wakes up on the nautiloid. this is a pretty big surprise - she's just left her forest home for the first time, and now she's somewhere way weird. oh - there's also a worm in her eyeball. she's kind of bothered by that, but there's nothing to be done for the time being. the red light and gorey appearance of this place is definitely interesting, but not really to her liking. there's something going on outside and so she should probably get out. along the way she finds a brain creature trying to be freed of its old body. that seems unnatural, so she leaves it there.
she meets lae'zel and takes an immediate liking to her because she's tough, cool, and a unique creature she's never come across. she then meets (and frees) shadowheart and also takes an immediate liking to her. this will become a recurring theme with tifa, i think. her whole deal is that she's a chill guy that lowkey doesn't give a fuck
you've probably played baldur's gate or read the other diary entries - the ship gets crashed, everyone gets scattered, you get the picture. when tifa wakes up on the beach and reunites with shadowheart, she's just happy that they're alive. there's definitely more pressing matters to be dealt with, but much to the confusion of shadowheart, tifa takes some time to stand in the beautiful, clear water and play some music.
tifa meets and promptly gets threatened by some bloke named "ASTARION." she doesn't appreciate his attack on her - doesn't he know unicorns aren't part of the food chain? they're neither predator nor prey, is he tupid? but once they get things cleared up, she takes a liking to his foppish attitude, as well as his matching hair color. she thinks they can be friends just over that. along the way, she also runs into gale, who she rescues from a portal and brings along on her trip. she also finds lae'zel again, which pleases her greatly. with a full party in tow, the party continues looking around the crash site - but it ceases to be a little walk in the park when they come across a group of people fighting goblins.
the battle is easily won - each party member's got their own skills, and tifa is surprisingly adept at offensive magic. unicorns must protect themselves, after all. once they're welcomed into the grove (and see zevlor get his lights punched out) tifa decides it's time for a rest. fighting is hard, and so is walking, and she's tired. lae'zel is shocked and borderline offended at tifa's lax attitude. there's mind flayer tadpoles in their head, and every second they waste sleeping is another second progressing their transformation. tifa's not bothered, though. how can they fix their problem without rest? they need it after the battle. it's certainly not the first time lae'zel will butt heads with tifa, but tifa likes her anyways.
after a good night's rest, tifa and company investigate the grove. they meet wyll, who tifa immediately likes because he's cool and he's nice. she makes him a part of her crew. as she investigates the situation, she comes to see the unbalanced, backwards way the tieflings are being treated. it bothers her quite a bit - who do the druids think they are, trying to cast people out of nature, as if it belongs to them? she's got herself a chip on her shoulder, and perhaps it'll manifest later, but all things in due time.
anyways tifa's been naked this whole time. it's whatever, she's a unicorn, she lives in the woods, who cares? but after enough people pointed it out, tifa's party convinced her to wear something. she doesn't really get why other people are so bothered by the sight of her, but if everyone in the outside world covers themselves up, then tifa will fall in line. when in rome, right? at least the dress is cute. how did they scrounge up something like that all the way out here in the woods? best to not think about it.
lae'zel is mean to tifa again.
