a childhood and current favorite! double dash is a fun and pretty unique entry to the mario kart games. i really miss the co-op gameplay, i wish they'd bring it back in some fashion. well - even if they don't, that's fine, seeing as i own this copy and play it regularly. it's a visual treat, the music is great, the two-driver gimmick is a lot of fun, and the minigames are peaaaakkkkk. this is a real highlight. i'll sometimes come home and play it after work to unwind (though how well it helps me unwind really depends on if i'm any good that day.)

i used to play this with my younger brother nonstop when we were children. we never owned it, but our grandmother did. because of how i acquired this copy of the game, i'm aout 80% sure that this is the same copy my brother and i played all those years ago, so that's genuinely really fun. my brother and i are no longer children, though, and he currently lives in brazil, so unfortunately he and i haven't sat down and played it in a while for obvious reasons. next time i see him, though, he's cooked - or we'll be double driver friends. but he's probably cooked.

in the meantime, i usually play this either by myself or with my partner. my partner, who gave me permission to say this slightly mean thing about them on this little article, is extremely competitive and gets very frustrated when i kick their ass in gaming. we really appreciate this game for letting me compete with my partner instead of against them. we both have fun, and when we lose, we lose together and the rage gets directed at the CPUs instead of me! it's a real marriage saver, isn't it?

i like to play as bowser junior, yoshi, birdo, or sometimes daisy.

it just depends on my mood, really.
