after falling and love and getting married, ex-con hi and ex-cop ed want to have a baby. unfortunately, ed (it's short for edwina, bro) turns out to be infertile, and hi's criminal record keeps them from adopting. a rich and famous couple end up giving birth to quintuplets, so the couple decide "hey, they probably won't miss just one baby, right?" hilarity ensues. or, i mean, it's supposed to, but i was kind of disappointed by this movie.

it's not terrible, don't get me wrong - it's a competent movie and there's some decent fun to be had, but it kind of fell flat for me. the premise is great. there's so much you can do with that, and to their credit, they do. there's some good comedy that comes from the characters being incredibly dumb and from junior getting passed around from outlaw to outlaw. but i wish it pushed that premise further. i just think it could have been funnier.

also, why does everyone have a southern accent? there's an arizonan accent. it's real, it exists, and i have one. it's just california-lite. maybe i'm thinking too hard about it, but it bothered me to no end. LOL. the movie is okay. i didn't feel like my time was wasted or that the movie was bad, just that it was... okay.
